Coco's OCs - Micor <3

Aaaaaaaand -- we have reached the last of the main ships, I believe! These are probably my oldest two (or is it Finn and Rita...?), and have been created for a writing contest submission which I shall elaborate on later :)

Alcor and Mizar, not coincidentally, are a binary star system, but also lovers in my current headache which does not have a title yet! If you've read the last post, I explained the galaxy that Alcor comes from (and if you haven't, you can go back to see! I'm not explaining again... ;P).

Anyways, there's this writing competition called iWRITE, which is a contest for students in which the winners stories are compiled into a book. Having not much background or development on Alcor, I decided to use him in a new story for this competition.

Now, when writing for a competition I usually give myself two choices in genre. One, an action-packed, on the edge of your toes, "oh no is this going to end tragic" kind of story, since you can count on it being gripping all the way through for readers (but I have a whole novel like that already to worry about). Or two, a more romantic, more human climax and storyline that perhaps more people could connect with. I went with choice two, and thus a new ship was born.

So why the binary star system name? This year's theme for the contest is space, more of Skittle's alley, but I'm giving it a go anyways, since the story just needs an element of space. Truthfully, I didn't even know Alcor was part of a special double star thing when I first created him, so I was thoroughly surprised when Mizar just fell into my lap.

Okay, so this is an art blog, so I won't go too much into the story... I will most likely be around with more Nano art stuff, as well as personal projects that I hopefully have enough motivation to finish, and some more character art pages!

I believe the ships should be done, but I may draw more pages of the same ships interacting since it helps with poses and makes me feel super accomplished... But anyways, thanks for sticking around through this arc!
